Helm pray for my son Dakota Helm, he is stronger than I am and has been through more than most people. At birth my son started out with open heart surgery, and by the age of three (3) he had had three (3) more open heart surgeries and too many heart cathorizations that we lost track. By the age of eight (8) he as had three (3) more open hearts with many heart cathorizations. By the age of ten (10) my son had one (1) more open heart and he had to have a pacemaker put in to keep him alive. Because his heart was trying to stop. At that time he had gotten what's called PLE (Protein Losing Enteropathy) at which there is no cure for. Doctors give him a very small chances of living a year or two if lucky. So at the age of 10 my son knows the end here on earth is close, but he smiles and runs with no fears. At times he cries and asks if his mom and I will miss him as well as friends and famliy. Now at the age of 12 the doctors tell us my son is now critical and for us to keep him longer he has to have a heart transplant. But the heart transplant may take his life for he is very critical which makes it a very high risk. There is a chance things will not go my way. But it may be GODS WAY . So for a 12 year old boy having to live with this and to know all of this and to stand and walk still with his head held high he is one strong son, MY SON!  So, I ask for your prayers that you will help us ask that GOD'S WILL will be done. This is hard but if my son can keep his head up, I am with him all the way no matter what God's will may bring. As a father this is one of the hardest things to go through when you have no control. I can just let him know that I love him now and everyday from now on, no matter what may and may not happen. That he is in my heart forever! Getting all the testing and things done so he is ready when a heart becomes available.
