Hello,
I found that the tumor pressing on my spine is quite
large, and filling up much of my spinal cord. BUT, if
I do surgury, the nerve that is affected by the tumor
controls my upper thigh muscles; removing the tumor
would also destroy some of then nerve (as the tumors
are completely wrapped around the nerves), and it
would really weaken those muscles. the doctor said
that I would have trouble walking, especially climbing
and I wouldn't be able to get around as easily.
I'd probably have to drastically change my lifestyle,
so we're putting surgury off for now, until it can't
be put off any longer. Would like to be as physically
active as possible for as long as possible.
Am able to take Tramadol for hte pain, and have been
doing some physical therapy to manage the pain, and it
is working quite well.
Keep praying for healing though; God may see fit to
remove the tumor altogether!
Take care,
nora
