I passed the word on to Will N' Walk today and feathers have been
added to his climbing boots again and he is climbing higher up the
mountain-WOW!!!!!
The teams total for this past week was a whopping 144 miles which
gives us a total of 399.5 miles for the first three weeks. And yes,
that is 1/4 of the 12 week challenge behind us.
Our top walkers were
Dave--27.5
Donna-26.5
Laura-22
Our team consists of people that are busy all the time. They work,
are students, and some are retired-yes, we are busy too.
Laura brought up a great way to get those miles in. If you can not
get out and walk-grab one of those Walking DVD's. There great and
come with different walking distance plans/programs plus a couple
little stretch exercises included. Wear what you want and do it when
you can!!!Thanks Laura-any recommendations for DVD's? How about a
treadmill?
Also,some of our team members have been sick this past week-so take
care of yourselves-Remember we are in this for our health- Alive not
dead!
Remember a journey of 1000 miles starts and continues with just 1
step. Don't give up- just look back and see how many miles you have
already walked. The challenge is to have completed 1000 miles in 12
weeks as a group. 1000 miles divided by 12 gives us about 84 miles a
week and divide that by 10-Wow-If we each average per week 8.4 miles
over the 12 weeks-we will have Will N' Walk right up at the top of
that mountain. The way it looks we will have to add a very high tree
on the top to continue the climb. It was suggested that he could be
put in a hot air balloon to finish the journey upward(thanks Donna.)
