The "The Tubal Quarterly Newsletter"

For women who have had, or who are considering,
a "TUBAL LIGATION" for the purpose of birth control.

Each year hundreds of thousands of women undergo surgical sterilization for the elected propose of birth control. In the United States and in many countries, women must sign a "consent" to the sterilization. Part of the consent process is being informed and warned of the side effects, but the information presented to women and what the medical community knows is two different things. Information about negative hormonal and physical side effects is routinely withheld from women. Withholding this known information constitutes forced or fraudulent consent.

It is a woman's legal, civil and human rights to be informed of the known or possible risks/side effects before consenting. Withholding negative information to sway a woman's decision is to force consent. It results in misrepresentation, fraud, and medical battery.

The CPTwomen is a grass roots organization.
Our goals are to:

1. Educate women about the risks of tubal ligation.
2. Offer support to post tubal women.
3. Ensure that proper laws to protect women regarding consent to tubal ligation are put in place.

This newsletter is an extension of our public educational and support programs and keeps women abreast of what is occurring in the front lines of our political combat for our medical, civil, and human rights.

The Tubal Quarterly News letter is written by volunteers (members and non-members) who submit questions, stories ideas and news information.

The newsletter is sent out four times a year, with occasional news updates sent when needed concerning relevant current news and events.
