Having problems with message search?

thanks for the reply. as for answers to your very pertinent questions...don't know. my son is the I.T. specialist in the family and the young (33) lad installed everything. i know our firewalls are as they should be and we have at least 3 virus programs. some of the e-mails, like one yesterday, are ads..for sexual enhancement products. not offensive, and considering all PPS may do to a person and or a relationship..not altogether un realistic to consider this a potential sales market...but when we open expecting pps mail and get graphic descriptions of someone's sexual nature..that is a bit different. i was mainly wondering if this was common practice, if other's were getting the same type of mail. it all comes in wyth the sender listed as a group member. oh, i use yahoo and msn, wyth msn being the main one.
