NC PPS Conference   Message List

Hi Guys!
I'm still in NC after attending the PPS conference there but will be
heading north tomorrow. I figure it's time to come home when I used "yonder" in
a sentence!!! LOL We'll be home for 1 day and then we're going up Thursday to
NH for a long weekend. When we return from NH we'll only be home for the 1st
two weeks of June before we take off for Ireland till July 22nd.
My REVO was still in the shop from falling off the conveyer belt from
the airplane when I returned from Florida. I brought the old scooter I lent
to
my Mom with me but it needs new batteries so I wasn't winning any races.
:((((( Howie brought his new X-Terra powerchair down from NY in his new
lowered
floor van. The back of his chair has these two legs sticking out so I just
stood
up on the back of his chair and off we went! We got some funny looks as we
breezed past the lobby on our way out to the parking lot. :)))) I also danced
on
the back of his chair attempting to do some ballet moves. Hard to hold on
with one hand if the other hand has a drink in it! ROFL The people that ran
the
conference know me cause I've come down for all three conferences. They put a

big guy in charge of keeping me out of trouble and he also ran the
hospitality
room where we could hang out and drink for free. He told me that Jenny (Pres.

of the NC Triad PPS group) had spoken to Dr. Bruno and he told her that he
was
gonna alert the NC State Troopers cause I was driving without a valid
license! ROFL
This year I actually heard two speakers. One was Dave Clark, a former
pro-baseball player who now suffers from PPS and Dr. Brown (polio survivor)
who
spoke about Sex & PPS. After a few graphic slides, I decided I wasn't old
enough to see all of this and went up for my nap. :))))) It was mostly for
the
men anyway cause Dr. Brown is a Urologist. I missed Dr. Silver but the ppsers
I
spoke to later weren't too impressed. She wasn't as funny or approachable as
Dr. Bruno. Jenny, the moderator is battling pancreatic cancer but pushed
herself to make an appearence despite being in the middle of some heavy chemo
treatments. She gave a very moving talk about what she's going through.
It was great to see old friends again and I made a few new ones too! I
think I've gained more than a few lbs. eating all this good southern home
cooking! The biscuits here are from heaven!! :))))) It rained almost every
day since
I got down here. Well, that's my excuse anyway for spending a lot of time in
the mall! :)))) Y'all take care now............. Jo
