Hi All:
I've just updated my HHRS website to include links to my recent SARS
and medical history media interviews (there is one scheduled to
appear tonight (May 1) on CBC-TV Toronto Canada Now news at 6:30 pm
Eastern, which is focused on past Toronto epidemics, particularly
polio).
I also discovered some excellent polio history resources on the CBC
web site, which include my April 12, 1995 CBC radio interview on
"Morningside" that I did with the late Jeanette Shannon to celebrate
the 40th anniversary of the Salk vaccine.
There is also the 1993 "Conquering the Crippler: History of Polio in
Canada" documentary I helped put together for CBC PrimeTime News to
mark the 40th anniversary of the great 1953 Canadian polio epidemic
and the development of the Salk vaccine.
The CBC archives also has several original radio and TV news reports
about the 1949 Eskimo polio outbreak in the Canadian Arctic and the
launch of the Salk vaccine in Canada, among other items.
To check them out simply follow the links from:

Take care,
Chris
