People of Color Michigan
is a social networking and self-help group in the Detroit area for folks interested in interacting with others who share our gift. Our activities are geared toward African Americans, but anyone 18 and over is welcome, regardless of race, religion or sexual preference. Respect for privacy and confidentiality is of utmost concern and required for group membership!

We are not a dating service. Instead, we rely on members to plan social activities, providing opportunities for members to meet each other in a comfortable, fun and relaxed atmosphere. It's mostly about making new friends and having fun together. Past events include: 70s/80s Party, Ghetto Fab Party, Halloween Party, Pajama Party, game night, dinners, night clubs, picnics, movies, bowling,etc.

Our other focus is to educate ourselves, share experiences, and laugh a little as we travel down the road of life via posts shared on our message board. Feel free to ask questions. Our calendar lists three support groups in the Detroit area.

There is hope as many of us have partners and kids. Life is short. Live it the best you can, taking one day at a time. We're here waiting to help you take the first of many steps!
