hello olgeta,

upla olgeta stap orait tasol?

Apart for willie did anyone else attended the symposium in POM? I know Ian was
there but was unable to meet with him.

Willie and I had some great discussions about our group and we agreed that we
should continue to encourage and support each other whereever we are. We at ILRH
are in the process of getting our VSAT system with hitron so hopefully by next
year if all goes well I should be emailing from Wapenamanda!

I am just been thinking about this cholera thing in Lae. I have not sighted once
in any of the newspapers or from EMTV whether the bacteria causing cholera,
vibrio cholera has been isolated from patients presented with symptoms of
cholera. I am assuming MSF is doing these kit tests but no confirmation or
reports fo the bacteria being isolated from the victims have been reported!!

And also I am wondering how did cholera ended up in the bushes of Menyama?? I
would think that we would expect an outbreak in the majour cities where the big
ports are, before spreading inland. Or was it taken there by some illegal
hideaways up the bushes? or is from the mining/activities up there? I hope the
health authorities come out clear and tell us where they the source came from.

What do you all think?

Regards

RI

Yes! Rodney it is not really definitive. However, if it was cholera one would not last more than 2 days (dead by then). If they make it beyond 2 days then it...
