Hi Rodney
Yes, it is a minority group that is committing serious crime and corrupt practices. if all honest, hard-working, and law-abiding citizens act together, these evil minority will be stomped. Th recent media releases on the special police operations to arrest those involved in the bank robberies is already a positive step forward. All like-minded citizens must work with them.
In regards to the website, that is a great idea mate. Let me know if i can contribute in one way or the other, under medical imaging science.
Cheers brata

greetings to you all. it has bee quite for a while so i want to stir up some water.
u all a aware of deteriorating law and order situation in PNG. the recent robbery of BSP worth over 4million kina is unbelievable. there is even a runor that some MPs are were involved in this robbery..how true i do not know.
anyway, today all the professional bodies in PNG including NDA release a media statement calling on the government to implement the revised ECP as a matter of urgency. they also recommended that those in advisory roles in various government department be made to place active roles and step in to weed corruption in PNG. For so there has been lip service and the time for action has arrived.
With regards to NDA leadership, I think its time for a new leader with a new vision. I also think the PNG Medical Society needs a new president.
now to our website, I have already
approached 2 website developers in PNG and waiting for their quote.
My vision for the website is that it will be a source of information for visitors coming to PNG. The information will focus on health issues such as, immunisations, malaria prophalaxis, safe drinking water, how to reduce your risk of being mugged, safe places to visit or stay, and also for members to post and share their memorable trips to PNG (with pics). So i am asking all of you to give me your input. For those who will have time, i will ask you to write short articles to put up. there will be section for articles written by members. will keep u all up to date.
OH, and I will be present a short paper during the Pathology meeting during the symposium on the use of ICT for sharing information and networking and will share the experience of PNGdoctors group as an example. I post an abstract to you all
later.
regards
