Hi! everyone,

 

I wish to comment Dr. Rodney Itaki on his contributions to making this forum as well as the PNG science & technology journal up until now. I met Rodney briefly, in Pom. but didn't get to speak to him.

 

However, I have heard rumours that Rodney has withdrawn from his studies in Japan & have gone back to PNG. Rodney! if you're around, we need you to confirm these rumours. I also heard that UPNG could not accept you back & that you need to re-apply. This is absurd! We need to recognise & utillize smart, enthusiastic young Drs like Rodney. We are 'killing' our own country by playing too many 'politics' & suppressing the young upcoming Drs.

 

Rodney, if all of the above is true, then:

 

1. we need you to formally hand over your job to someone else, since internet in

   PNG is too expensive but too slow.

 

2. we need to write a petition to UPNG authorities to accept you back since you

   have contributed alot & that you have a potential to contribute more.

 

3. explain to us the reason for your withdrawal

 

Waiting to hear from you Rodney & anyone else who has any reliable information.
