Firstly, there was a few problems with the organization of
this year's meeting:

1. Venue: Sir John Guise stadium is not a good location
-it is an indoor sports complex, usually
meetings are
suppose to be held in Hotels or
Universities
-the interior was too bright so the
projection was hardly
visible
-there was a 'black-out' on the 2nd day of
the meeting
which halted the meeting for several
hours; no stand-bys in
place

2. There was no home-page prepared-like last year in
Madang

3. Last minute alterations to the presentations/program
-this may be difficult to fix because simply, the
speakers themselves
are not reliable-last minute cancellations or going
beyond the time
limit for each presentations.

4. Awards
I shared an award with Dr. Molumi for clinically
relevant research/
study-We were given K150 each. However, to motivate
young Drs
they (the PNG medical society) should prepare a proper
certificate &
not give money.

Finally, I will summarise the topics of presentation in
the subsequent email.
