I have had PD since 2001, and I go to a movement specialist neurologist.
I had only a hand tremer until 2007. Then I started using a cane due to
arthritic knee. My balancing ability seems to have gone down hill. I now use
fitness sticks which helps as to balance, however my knee is worse. Other
conditions argue persuasivly against knee replacement. I can't manage walking
more than a city block anymore. I have a small scooter for longer distances
outdoors. I'm considering getting a power chair for indoor-outdoor use at home.
Does anyone have one of these? What caused you to decide to get one? What brand?
Do you like it? Any negatives? Do you wish yoou'd gotten a different one? Has it
helped your life? Has it made you more dependent on caregiver? Would electric
wheelchair be better? any information would be helpful to my making this
decision. Thanks so much, Pat in Phoenix
