re: "ringing in the ears" ....... Whether or not it's related to PD, it is called Tinnitus and it never will go away. At least for me anyway. Too many years of being confronted with loud noises, both at work and at play (per my ENT doc. My ears have been "ringing" for at least six or seven years now. It does cause some problems (especially when my wife is trying to say something to me).
Sometimes it can be quite bothersome, like, without any background "noise". and yet, other times, when I am totally absorbed in something, it's not bothersome at all!
As I said, I have not seen, heard, or read where this is, in any way, connected to PD.

Hi Jim, I am new to the group and I am my husband's caregiver. I don not know what you are going through at all since we have not gotten to that point in this "game" of P.D. yet. It sounds very frustrating though and we have had our share of frustrations. My husband was a very active and healthy man our whole marriage. We have been married for 32 years! It was so tough on him and me when he went from being able to do "everything" to not much at all! I always called him "My Superman" He always will be "my Superman" He doesn't feel like he is anymore but I think he is more than ever because I don't think many people can go though what he has!
I just wanted to say to you, keep on trying and don't get discouraged! There's always going to be another day! You and all the the others that I have been reading comments and questions from are ALL Supermen & Superwomen! I just wanted to let you know because I know you don't always feel like it.
I have a question for my husband. Do any of you have ringing in your ear? He started with this about two weeks ago and his doctor says it has nothing to do with P.D. but sometimes we wonder if they really know all the little things yet! I did find out it was not caused by any of his meds. So we were happy about that because it is sooooo hard to get started on new stuff and get that dosage right! I'm sure I don't have to tell ya'll about that! Thanks for reading my note & thanks in advance for answers I may get to this question! God Bless you all!
