Hi - i'm new to this group! I'm so excited to have found it! My Dad
had PD (he died 5 years ago). I'm a trained nurse and have nursed PD
patients. My Dad had PD for 12 years and I helped nurse him through the
last 3 months, when he was end-stage. PD is such a complex illness and
it's tough not only on the patient, but the carers too (usually the
close family). I wish I'd known about this website when my Dad was
alive.

I'm now doing a PD course and hope to be a PD nurse. It would be great
to not only use my professional knowledge, but to be able to use my
personal experience too. It's great for families to have the support
of a group like this.
