First off I didnt intend for anybody to assume I was the author of
that beautiful prayer for the sick. But copyright infringement c'mon..
the copyright law clearly states that it no longer applies. And where
all this critisism and accusations of cynicism are coming from has me
baffled.Yes I was trying to be funny by plagerizing Jesus's prayer
but I really dont think he's anymore pissed at me then he was to
begin with.Actually I never gave prayer much thought I just had my
little private conversations with God as Jesus had said in Matthew
chapter 6 verses 5-8 in the Holy Bible, until I started reading about
it regularly on this very message board, which in turn caused me to do
some research and come up with that 2.4 million dollar study that I
found in the american heart journal.I unwittingly posted it right
after Connie had asked for prayer. So then after being admonished for
this I post a perfectly good prayer that I prayed and I get more
bashing.Which brings me to my first concern,a friend of mine
suggested we have a week of prayer for PD in April and maybe a day of
fast ,he asked me what I thought,I didnt think it would fly because
of all the contention surrounding prayer today. As for a a day of fast
just the thought of it makes me hungry.
(e) Presumption as to Author's Death. — After a period of 95 years
from the year of first publication of a work, or a period of 120
years from the year of its creation, whichever expires first, any
person who obtains from the Copyright Office a certified report that
the records provided by subsection (d) disclose nothing to indicate
that the author of the work is living, or died less than 70 years
before, is entitled to the benefit of a presumption that the author
has been dead for at least 70 years. Reliance in good faith upon this
presumption shall be a complete defense to any action for
infringement under this title.
