Re: [Placenta Abruption] hello :)

WOW - how scary. Yes, we are due about the same date, so let's keep in touch.
I failed to mention, but I too have gestational diabetes.

Gigi <CrystalGoddess29@...> wrote: Hi,
I am so sorry for your loss. I've been reading some older posts and
my heart just hurts for all the loss I've read about. I understand
your fear... every little thing I feel Im terrified. I know I'm in a
good place and that helps but the fear is ever present. I called my
husband crying tonight b/c I was so scared about her heart rate going
up and I just dont know what that means but I know they were all
running around me with all the bells and whistles. She seems fine now
thankfully. I had no signs or symptoms when my bleeding occured. I
was just finishing up dinner dishes, no pains, nothing. I stood up
and all hell broke loose. I thought omg I think my water just broke!
I was 28 weeks then. So I ran to the bathroom and discovered blood
that just kept coming, omg I never felt such fear! I just kept
thinking omg Im losing her, god please help us. we made it to a local
hospital but they said they werent equiped to deliver a 28 week baby.
Then i was flown here. The bleeding has stopped and baby has been
stable the whole time. Later I learned that I was probably in more
danger than she was from the massive blood loss. I am soooo grateful
she is ok! Even though there is a chance they may have to do
emergency c section, every day is another day for her to get
stronger. So you and I are due around the same time then? My due date
is Jan 22. Thanks for writing back. I can see I stumbled on to a good
group! Wishing you all the best!

deeply depressed. Talking to others really helped me understand that
while there was only a 1-3% chance of what happened to happen, there
were other women out there who had been through what I have.

little ache, pain, lack of movement, etc., because I had a hidden PA
that did not show any bleeding - it was only noticed when I had
severe cramping and I lost consciousness due to the internal
bleeding. I am not on bedrest, and wonder if maybe I should, just to
be careful?? Doctors say there is nothing that bedrest could do at
this point to help prevent a PA from occuring, so I just wait
patiently.

found the abruption before it is too late. I know it must be hard to
be far from your family, but you are doing what you need to do to
ensure you have a healthy child to add to that family.
