Hi Gigi,
My name is Sarah and I too had found this site by chance 2 years ago after the
loss of my son by abruption. Unfortunately, there seems to be less and less
people chatting on the site these days. However, when I had found the site
there was a lot more support. I am really sorry to hear of your previous losses.
I also lost two pregnancies. The first was a 7 week miscarriage and the second
was in 2004 at 24 weeks. I had a little boy who we named Keegan Robbie. I
recently had a baby, two weeks ago in fact. I can tell you that I was very
scared the whole pregnancy because of my previous history. I had an incompetent
cervix with a stitch put in, and gestational diabetes during this pregnancy.
Thankfully, you are in the best place possible. Being in a hospital means
that you can be monitered continuously. Which is definitely a good thing.
I know how difficult bedrest can be. I was on bedrest my whole pregnancy...
I hope that this site can provide you with support and answer any questions
you may have.
Hope to hear from you soon. Keep me informed on your progress.
Take care
Sarah

Hi all,
I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. My name is Gigi. I
am currently in the hospital on bedrest. Im just about 30 weeks
pregnant and had a severe bleeding episode last week. A small placenta
abruption Im told. It's been a hell of a week... I was medivaced to
another hospital that could take care of a 28 week baby because they
thought I was looking at an emergency c section but the bleeding has
stopped and my baby is doing well, thank god! I'm still laying here
scared to death because I'm told there is a collection of blood that
could be more of an abruption waiting to happen and that basically I am
a time bomb. I had lost a great deal of blood in the process so even
though my baby is doing well, I'm still scared to death. I found this
group by chance while searching for info on my condition. I had never
heard of it before. This is my third child and my other 2 pregnancies
were completely uneventful... just the usual complaints. So thats
basically my story. I look forward to chatting with you.
Gigi
