Sorry to hear about your loss. I myself have had four abruptions. Lost six
babies in all. Well, my daughter lived to eight years old but she was very
sick. I had one abruption with my other daughter, lived three hours and I was
only 21 weeks, and had been at the hospital all day until about three. I went
home after the doctor told me everything was fine. The machine couldn't pick up
the contractions because I was so small is what the nurse said. I was back two
hours later by ambulance bleeding very heavily which I had been bleeding the
whole time. They did an emergency c/s and she was born. weighing 12 and 3/4 oz.
Not even a pound. She was beautiful. They didn't try to save her because around
here they won't try to save them until you're at least 24 wks. They've never
found out what my problem is with placental abruption . I do know that when
they delivered my daughter, she was laying on a bloodclot the size of a
cantalope. Bigger than a grapefruit. Still don't
know what caused it all. Or any of the other ones for that matter...... So, I
feel your pain deeply.
They say it all heals over time. I've , however, found that not to be true.
