Mindi,
I am so sorry for your loss. It is such an unfair thing for anyone
to go through and my heart goes out to you.
I suffered from an abruption sounding just like yours almost 5 years
ago. I was 32 weeks along and my son weighed 5 lbs 6 ozs and was
also perfect in every way. I had 2 normal pregnancies before that
and everything had been normal with this one also, up until the day
it happened. I just kept getting pains in my abdomen throughout the
morning and then I started bleeding really badly and by the time we
made it to the hospital Evan was already gone. I still wonder to
this day what made it happen to me, because I had none of the
symptoms or did any of the things that they say could have caused
it. I did get pregnant again about 6 months later and had a
beautiful healthy baby girl with out any complications. But I had a
wonderful dr who helped me get through it. i was scared half to
death the whole time I was pregnant with Emma. But he seen me every
week once I got about 22 weeks along and at 26 weeks along I had
stress test 2 times a week. He also did a schedule c-section at 32
weeks so we did not take a chance of it happening again. And now
Emma will be 4 this December.
I joined this group after I lost Evan and the women on here are
tremendous support, although there isn't alot of activity going on
these last couple of months. But every one on here knows what you
have gone through and they lend a comforting word everytime you talk
to one of them.
Take care
Jenny
