Hi All-
Happy to see that there is a support group out there specifically
for placenta abruption....I experienced a complete placenta
abruption anywhere from Aug 16-19. (Had a D&E on the 19th .)Had an
ultrasound on the 15th in the emergency room after experiencing
contractions & major abdominal pain with no bleeding on the 14th.
Baby looked fine with heart beat. Pain continued thru the 18th &
went to the emergency room with an ultrasound on the 19th that
showed no heart beat. I was on bedrest with complete placenta
previa from the beginning with bleeding but 7days before the
contractions/abdominal pain started...no bleeding so I was feeling
optimistic. Lost last baby at 18weeks. Saw perinatel specialist
that diagnosed the placenta previa so why didn't they test for
thrombophylia? Could of been the problem & been on medicine so baby
could still be alive today... want to get prego again but afraid.
Almost lost my life in hospital after they did the d&e due to
hemorraging...dr's said they were lucky to save my uterus. Still
have clot in uterus that I'm taking medication to make my uterus
contract. Can't even begin to try again for another 6months to year.
Sorry to be so depressing!! (Oh, by the way, this pregnancy started
out to be a twin pregnancy) Mom of 1 healthy boy, Stephanie
