Hi Mellissa
Wow you do have some thinking to do. I guess at least your
appointment is now only next tuesday, usually when we need to see a
specialist in this country we have to wait about 4-6 weeks. I do not
know much about Perintologists as we dont have them here and if we do
they must come under a different name, are they like fetal dr's or
similar?. In regards to my placenta previa I think it is just
something that just happens and there are no real reasons but as I am
only 23 weeks I dont think it is major yet, as it could still very
easily move. However it is at the back which is a much better place
for it than at the front after so many c-sections. I have not heard
before that repeated c-sections cause placenta abruptions, the causes
however are a little scratchie. But most definetly if you have had a
previous PA your chances are 1 in 10 of another which is quite a high
risk really. Me having had 2 before it is basically assumed I will
have another hence why they are delivering me at 34 weeks, they are
talking now even maybe 32 weeks, but I really dont want that as it
means I have to go to the city to have my baby which is about 1 hour
away and I will miss my girls terribly. However what is best for
this baby will be what we do.
I hope your appointment goes well, let me know. I am sure whatever
decision you make will be right for you. I pray it is.
Take care
Larnie
