Re: [Placenta Abruption] WELCOME SAMUEL LUKE BOURGUIGNON

Hi Lorraine,

I would like to say congratulations on your new arrival. I am so happy to hear
that Samuel Luke is doing well. My whole family was happy to hear the news that
he is doing well. We are all praying for your family and precious Samuel Luke.
I truly believe that Angel Benjamin is protecting his little brother. May
Samuel Luke bring the joy and happiness into your family that you all so much
deserve. All the best and remember I am always hear if you need someone to talk
to. The care and support you gave me meant so much to me, and I only hope that
I can return the favour.

Keep us posted on how little Samuel Luke is doing!

Sarah and family
xoxo

Hi guys. Well what a few weeks I have had.

First of all, I was admitted with contractions on 10th Jan (30 weeks). Then
my blood pressure was a bit high and I detected a trace of protein in my
urine on 23rd Jan so I turned up at the Hospital and my OB decided to admit
me for observation. I was now 32 weeks and 2 days. At 2.00am on 24th woke up
feeling wet in my undies and went to the toilet. My worst fears has come
true, I was bleeding. I called the nurse and she put me on the bed. She got
CTG machine and for about a minute she could only pick up my heart beat. You
can imagine the state I was in! I was convinced I had lost another baby.
Even after she found it I refused to believe her! Anyway, she monitered me
for a while and then called my OB. He was already at the large maternity
hospital in the city and asked that I be transferred there. I was put in an
ambulance and off we went.

My Ob checked me when we got there and decided to do an emergency C-Section.
Samuel was never in any trouble on the moniters, but by that stage I was
having contractions and bleeding a little more. My placenta was low lying
and this was causing the bleeding. He seemed to think it was not another
abruption but who knows. I don't know if I can put myself through the
stress of another pregnancy but I'm not thinking about that for at least a
year!

Samuel was born at 5.05am weighing 3pounds 13 ounces (1725g.) He was placed
on C-PAP for 2 days and is doing really well now! He had phototherapy for a
couple of days too.

He looks so much like his 2 brothers! I know Benjamin was looking down on us
that night and saved his brother's life.

Sorry about the lengthy message but just wanted to let you all know about
Sam's arrival!
