Carol- Aren't you taking Darvocet? I was just
listening to "Fresh AIr" and heard an interview with
Dr. Jerry Avorn about his book "Powerful Medicines :
The Benefits, Risks, and Costs of Prescription Drugs".

He said Darvon is only as effective as aspirin. In
fact, he did a study to find out why so many doctors
were prescribing such an ineffective drug. And he
found that although doctors didn't think they were
influenced by drug company marketing, the marketing
was the sole basis of their information about the
drug.
