Hi Carol, I had also spent 3 and a half years of pain
and doctors visits that were geting me no where.
I decided on the surgery and although it was not a
total success it is better. I had a blood clot in the
same leg in 97 which is complicating things I think.
I too had gotten to the point where my quality of life
was suffering greatly. Go have the surgery and if it
is better, great. If it is not at least then you will
know that it is something else causing the pain then
you deal with that problem. If you do nothing you will
never know if you had a chance to make things better.
