Maureen- Did you use an SI belt in conjunction with
PT. Most the the belts are totally worthless. But one
good one is the "Active SI belt". See

for a description. After the PT has aligned the SI,
you wear it constantly. It does a fairly good job of
holding the pelvis together. I found it extremely
helpful when getting in & out of the car. It cut down
on the cracking noise, indicating the pelvis had just
gone out of alignment again. So driving was less
painful.

And, of course, I never get in a car without my Tush
Cush & lumbar pillow.
