Here is another treatment technique I found on the
web. I have no
experience with it & don't know if it works or not.

"Pelvic Floor Pain

This area of women's health often goes unmentioned. Do
you find it embarrassing to discuss this with your
health care provider? Has any health care provider
ever asked you if you have pelvic floor pain? This
silent burden is often left untreated unnecessarily.
Pelvic pain is not normal.

Karlene Huntley, the director of our facility, has
developed a unique and successful program for
evaluation and treatment of pelvic floor pain. This
involves careful evaluation of the bony alignment of
the coccyx (tailbone), sacrum, and pubic bone and
their relationship to the muscles around. Any
malalignment of these structures can cause pain in and
of themselves but can also cause pinching of the
pudendal nerve. This nerve supplies sensation to the
pelvic floor and can result in shooting pain.

The goal of treatment is to restore the dynamics of
the pelvic floor and hence alleviate pain. This
involves use of soft tissue restoration or 'snapping'
(also developed by Karlene) to the pubic symphysis,
tailbone and any small pelvic and hip muscles that
maybe involved. This maybe followed by pelvic
corrections (using muscle energy techniques) and
pelvic stabilization exercises.

We currently have great success treating this problem
with some women having complete relief of pain that
they have had for many years in just three to five
visits. A private room has been constructed away from
the other treatment areas allowing patients to freely
talk about their history and symptoms If you would
like more information regarding this subject, please
call 1-800-6480698 or 1-812-3396913.
