James -- Thanks for the email. I agree about pain while sitting. But for
me, doesn't matter if I sit, stand- pain at all times. My only fairly
comfortable position is lying on my right side with pillow between legs and
an ice pack!
I have had three blood clots in my left leg, so I know what you mean. Had
them on same side as the troublesome periformis is on -- that's basically
why I'm afraid to do the surgery. Haven't had one in 15 yrs. but docs still
take precautions. For example, had knee surgery, on left side also, and
they had to give me special meds to keep the blood thinner. Guess I'm just
too scared. I would rather try the hypnotherapy for pain control and then
possibly this Duragesic patch for pain relief.
