1- What kind of substance was injected into the
piriformis muscle?

I am not exactly sure what they injected. I will find out on my
next visit.
2- What kind of effect did it produce? (reduced pain?
less muscle spasm? im creased sitting ability with
less pain? etc)

It has stop the very severe hot burnig feeling I had running from
the hip to the the heel of my foot. I sm still dealing with the
right side. It has too much scar tissue so they cannot try the
injection without fear of hitting the nerve. I will also ask if I
can have a copy of the picture they took of the injection going into
the muscle.
3- How long did the benefit last?

The injection was 3 weeks ago and so far so good. It still gets
that gnawing achy feeling but not near as bad as it was before.

Sorry it took so long to post. It has been a bad pain weekend on
the right side.
