Hi Patti. I have sciatic pain in both legs when I
sit.
The right leg is much worse than the left. I can get
the pain (to a lesser degree) when I am standing. It
is ten time worse when I sit. I have had this pain for
about 3 years now. The left leg has become affected
only in the last 12 months. Some days the area of the
Piriformis muscle is very painful and on other days I
have the sciatic pain and no pain in the butt.
I only get the butt pain on the right side which is
the worst leg.
I am going to have surgery for the P.S in the near
future but no date has been set yet. I have to do
something, to do nothing is frightening also. The pain
is getting worse all the time and I wont be able to
drive to work if I don't have surgery. The neurontin
is only mildly helpful, but it does help.
I konw there is no guarantee with the surgery but I am
willing to take a chance, albeit a very big one.
Bye for now, James.
