Hi all. My name is Rachel and I am new. I had pretty good fall last November and
after complaints of constant severe hip/leg pain was diagnosed with piriformis
syndrome in January. I went to physical therapy for it and it is not as bad. It
is no longer a constant thing but it comes and goes. It is usually not as severe
of pain either. But.....my question is, is this pain going to ever go away and
be cured? Anyway, I also sprained my wrist, thoracic spine, and knee last
November and suffered a contusion to my ribs and abdomen. Last week, I went to a
different doctor, he says he does not believe in piriformis syndrome. He
diagnosed it as bursitis and sciatic notch tenderness and also said that I have
chondromalacia in my knee(a form of osteoarthritis but I'm only 22) and a very
mild case of scoliosis(he didn't say the curvature).
Anyway, I just wanted to be on this group mostly for support. I hope to talk to
some of you soon.
