Robin
It was nice of you to respond. I am having a really good day and
evening. I am not sure but my Chiro Dr G said on Wed that there was
a chance it wasn't PS. I seem to be improving so I will probably
wait and see. As I read the posts I certainly had all the signs.
Since my diagnosis was pretty early I am hopeful that my Chiro Dr
will be succesful, he said that he knew another Dr who had a
different technique and if I didn't improve he would send me there.
My hats off to everyone who deals with this. It is unbelievable.
I have started eating healthy and cutting back on my food portions
because I am certainly overweight and that is never good.
I hope your steroid injection will take care of your inflamation.
Sincerely
sue in fl

to a physician and or orthopedic specialist to ruleout any detectable
damage to spine ect. I have to say the pilates and yoga classes I
have been faithful to for the past 2 years have transformed my life
in many ways. I have more energy and am more flexible. My posture is
better than it has ever been. My legs and feet ache less at work (13
hour shifts mostly on my feet). Unfortunately my periformis area
still wakes me up at night and causes pain while sitting.
> Next week I am having hip/SI joint injection of steroid. This is
a more majoir procedure with more risks, but the steroid injection
into the muscle didn't do any thing. But after many Dr, PT,
chiropractors my new specialist is convinced my SI joint is so
inflamed it won't let my muscle heal.

central FL. I have been reading the older post and I am up to post
#54. They are very informative but heart wenching that so many of
you went years without even being correctly diagnoised. And sad that
there doesn't seem to be a proven treatment that works for any length
of time.

he thought I had it. I had had a pain in my hip/leg that started
getting pretty painful a couple of months ago. I wasn't too
concerned I had had a pinched nerve before and assumed that was what
this was. I went to a chiropractor ( this was not the chiro that
diagnosed me with PS) twice and after his adjustment I only felt a
little better and only for a few hours.

Monday Dec 1,2008 I was really hurting. So I called a chiropratic
clinic I had used when I had the last pinched nerve. I saw a
Chiroprator that had joined the practice since my last visit there.
My former Chiropractor had since retired.

couple things one being PS, he then did xrays and warmed up my back
hip and had me hooked up to something that stimulated my hip area
(Sorry I am not more specific as to correct terms I was really
hurting and just trying to get thru each minute) He did some
adjusting on my back and hip. Showed me some stretching exercised
for me to do. Told me to sleep on my good hip, with a pillow between
my legs when I slept on my side. And when I slept on my back to have
a pillow under my knees. He was very up front about not have a sure
cure for this condition. He showed me some stretching exercised to
do 3x a day. I was still in quite a bit of pain the next day. By
mid day I felt alot better, but alot of pain at nite.

pain off and on today not as extreme as earlier this week. I seem to
always feel better during the day.

This is something else. I have never had a pain where there doesn't
seem to be anyway to actually relive some of it.

where my problem began. She is now 13 months old. I watch her 5
days a week for my son. I also have spent alot of time in the early
am and evenings on the computer.
