RE: [Piriformis syndrome] New To Group - Unfortunately Not to PS

Oh - a couple corrections (sorry).

I used PT instead of PS in some places.  Hopefully you can tell when I'm talking about the syndrome and not physical therapy.

Also - forgot to mention a symptom - I guess because this is fairly (last 3 months) new.  I sometimes have the pins and needles feeling that travels from my hip/buttocks area to my pelvic and anal area.  It stops on the left side which is fairly weird - I have all this sensation on the left and none on the right.  Sometimes I have aching pain in that same area when my buttocks & leg is aching but it is pretty much just part of the pain and not a separate kind of feeling unless I focus to figure out exactly where I hurt.  The pins and needles happens often when I have no pain at all or very little symptoms in the other areas.  I have no idea what it means but the pins and needles feeling isn't BAD (actually feels a lot like I have one of those nerve stimulators on but in a different area than I ever put it on!).

I looked this up and this seems to be a feeling that a lot of people with a lot of different nerve issues get - male and female.  I don't know if this is normal for PS or not.  I have not mentioned it to my doctor since I haven't seen him since it began.  I am concerned that it might mean my condition is getting worse, though.
