After years of reading posts here, I've concluded there are several different types & causes of PS. They include:

* a chronic overuse syndrome (runners, dancers, etc) that is easily treated by traditional PT,
* Morton's foot needing orthotics  & manual therapy or PT,
* scar tissue caused by blunt trauma (falls) pressing on nerves,
* pelvis misalignment possibly caused by L5-S1 fusion,
* atypical anatomy,
* insufficient pelvic support during pregnancy or as result of excessive sitting causing some muscles to be stronger or weaker than others,
* other or unknown cause.

We have had cases of where surgery fixed the problem & other where it failed. Cases where ART, myofascial trigger point therapy, etc resolved the pain & cases where manual bodywork therapies didn't help.

I would like to create a collection of individual's stories, so newbies can read other people's experiences and find what worked (or didn't) for people like them. This collection will be placed in the  "Files" section of the group's website, so it will NOT be available to the general public.

Would you be willing to write a summary of your case for the collection? Please include the following information & email it to me.

* cause or onset of problem,
* tests you had & results,
* types of treatments you had & results (acupuncture, ART, PT, injections (what type of injections & where it was injected), TENS, etc)
* type of surgery & what was found
* how long you had the problem
* long term outcome - did you get relief or are you still searching?
* any advice you have for someone with this problem.

Thanks for you help, Mary
