Re: [Piriformis syndrome] Re: Hi everyone!

Hi Mary,
Unfortunately, I haven't found a bodyworker within comfortable driving distance - yet.  There is one fellow about an hour away that would probably be worth checking out since he does ART, but I just haven't felt good enough to brave the distance.
As far as the SI joints, all the report said was that there was no physical evidence of arthritic damage.  No mention of whether things were lined up properly.  All the soft tissue was 'unremarkable.'
They've put me in aquatic therapy for the time being, which I am tolerating.  It's very gentle and nice, nothing like the PT I've had before.  Once I get some results from that, I hope to feel good enough to make the trip for some bodywork.
I will certainly keep you updated as soon as I get some bodywork or blood test results back.
I hope you're all having a good and low pain day
:-)

Hi Katyi - It is good to hear from you again. And glad to know you are "settling in" in PA. Have you found someone to do soft tissue work on you?

I cannot remember anyone reporting that they had been diagnosed with AS. Nor have I read anything that would indicate that AS is misdiagnosed as PS. Although the diagnosis of PS is often an "iffy" situation, so I suppose it is possible.

I find it very interesting that your SI joints hurt but they appear to be normal. (Meaning the pelvic bones is correctly positioned?) If that is the case, then AS would explain the pain.  I will be most interested if your AS test results are positive. Please stay in touch, Mary
