Re: just joined...

Hi Kayti and everyone,

Just wanted to throw in my $.02. I, of course, have PS and my hips are a bit off as well. As a patient of a very skilled PT who does the work Mary Jo speaks of, I can definitely say, for me, that type of PT has helped tremendously. And boy do I know that pain you're speaking of when they get at those trigger points... then, thankfully, the pain diminishes as you mentioned. A sure sign of a trigger point being broken up and blood flow coming back to the area. Your PT is correct in that it can take months for your body to stay, and that it will stay for longer and longer periods of time. This has been true for me. A really great thing that has helped me get and keep my hips aligned and stable is the SI belt. It truly made a big difference in my pain levels, though it may not be this way for everyone. Maybe Mary Jo has experience with these or has reasons for not using them. Would love to hear her take on the SI belts.

I would say stick with this PT if you feel good about it, and definitely talk to Mary Jo. It's sure worth a good try!

Wishing us all pain free days!

Tiffany
