Whatever works for you is the important thing. If it
is too painful to do the gentle Piriformis stretch,
that indicates your Piriformis muscle is very
contracted. I'm not a P.T., so I can't really tell you
what is going on or what you should or should not do.
My concern is that by sittting in a compensating
position, you may be creating another pelvic muscle
imbalance that will cause long term problems.
Have you considered going to a chiropractor, oseopath
or P.T. to get professional evaulation of what is
going on & how to correct the muscle imbalance? Mary
