Hi. I can see how using high steps can throw a pelvis
out of position and cause other problems. Many people
report getting in and out of SUV's or trucks
aggravating their condition also. Your solution was
inventive & unusual. Stretching while sitting
typically makes P.S. worse. But, hey, whatever works
for you.
In the future, you might try adding the Piriformis
stretch to your stretching routine.
Gentle Piriformis Stretch -
Lie on your back with both feet flat on the floor and
your knees bent. Rest the ankle of your right leg over
the knee of your left leg. Pull your left thigh toward
your chest and hold the stretch. Hold for 5 seconds
to start, and gradually increased to 30 seconds, and
repeated three times each day.
