Hi Mary & James
Having a wallet empty is the best thing for men! Joking apart, I can feel an
imaginery wallet right under the ischium when sitting for longer periods.
Re visit to Ortho - he wanted to operate this Tues! I had all my assessment
done there and then. Since I need time to think this through (as if I haven't
had enough years already!!) I have decided to bind my time. I still haven't
heard anything about the time of my appt on 23rd with the Pain Management
specialists at University College London! I really need that appt to ask a few
questions: Here's one for you Mary -
I get severe left sacral pain when sitting (that's the scar tissue), ischium is
sore, slight tingling down the lateral thigh, sore hip, sore butt. Strangely
after the journey back by train (2 hours sitting!!) I didn't feel too bad the
following day - but today my buttock muscles are very very tight.
Can you tell me this: image after having a shower you put your foot on the loo
sit to dry your legs, when leaning forward to dry your feet (sometimes I can't
even do that) would you feel the muscle pulling across the buttock area? I
certainly have most butt/S1 pain lying on my back, knee bent and try to turn the
hip and knee outwards. Don't laugh 'cos it's not funny!
My problem is that when the Ortho saw me, he turned me on my side and pressed a
finger on the top of my femur and asked if it referred pain down the sciatic
nerve in the leg - it didn't. I really am in a flux about a decision here.
Have a great Easter everyone.

Hi Mary, I have heard that and have not sat on my
wallet for years. My wallet is very thin these days, I
have been unemployed since October (laid off).
James.
