Re: [Piriformis syndrome] New member looking for help

My advice is to skip looking for a new doctor, unless
your help plan requires a doctor to refer you to a
phyiscal therapist. After 15 yrs, you have built huge
muscle imbalances & layers of dysfunction that will
need to be worked through.

Piriformis Syndrome (in my opinion) is pretty much a
catch all diagnosis, so I can understand why many
doctors don't buy the label, but they still don't know
what the problem is or what to do about it.

You might check out Integrative Manual Therapy
techniques. See
www.centerimt.com/locations.asp
for locations near you.

For self-treatments, read the archives of messages
here. There are many different variations of the
Piriformis strech on the internet. But you really need
expert guidence. If doctors haven't fixed you, you
can't do it yourself. Good Luck. If you go with IMT,
pleases send us feedback on your experience & results. Mary
