Hi Suzie. Welcome to the group. Have you been
diagnosis by a medical professional or you
self-diagnosing? Is the pubic bone your only pain?
Occasionally, I have the pain you describe. I think it
happens when my illium is out of place. It is probably
a result of your pelvis being out of whack. It is the
kind of thing my PT can correct in one session, but I
couldn't possibly explain what she does. And,
unfortunately, most PTs are not nearly as
knowledgeable or skilled as my PT.
Give me more information about your diagnosis &/or
symptoms. Do you have the most pain pubic bone pain
when trying to straighten leg when you are lying on
your back or side? Or does it give you pain elsewhere?
In the meantime, try using an ice pack or bag of
frozen peas (as an ice pack) on the area for 15 mins.
That should help with swelling. Don't sleep with an
ice pack on! And keep taking the Ibuprophen, if that
is helping.
Mary
