Hi!
My name is Drew & I live in the UK.
I have had the symptoms below for about 20 years,I was 17 when I
first felt my first symptoms.
I must point out that I have seen many "Specialists" and so far I
have had no luck with a concrete diagnosis.
Below are my symptoms.
Deep Left buttock pain.
Sharp pain in my left groin and hip.
left lower back pain
Left side pain above my left hip.
Left leg sometimes comes out at a angle after sitting down for a
while.
The only way I can describe this in words is that the I look like a
compass, you know what you use with a pencil to draw a circle
with.when this happens the pain in my left groin region is very
sharp and painful and i can not move my left leg. After a while it
settles down and i can move again.
I hate sitting in cars or chairs. The pain can be bad.
If I stand for a while the pain can be bad too.
The above symptoms are the main symptoms but there a few others.
The specialist have said that I have a small L5 disc prolapse but
nothing serious.Everytime I have a MRI scan or Xray the specialist
asks me if I have been in an accident? and I haven't!
My MRI scan on my My Left hip has a bit of arthritis but the
specialist thinks that my problem is something else.
Is this something else the Piriformis syndrome ?
After searching the internet I came across the condition and there
are a few things that I recognize.
Could you please give me your honest opinion after reading the above
and tell me if my symptoms match that of a piriformis syndrome
sufferer.
Thank you for your time.
Any help or advice will be appreciated.
