Good to hear from you again, James. Your story
demonstrates how difficult it is to accurately
diagnosis the cause of sciatica. Mechanical tests
often show nothing wrong. And the diagnosis of
piriformis syndrome acts as a broad catch all.

I know there is a long wait in Canada for non-life
threatening surgeries. But, at least, you finally know
the cause of your pain, how to minimize it (by not
sitting or kneeling) and are on the road to fixing the
problem. Your first surgery was so successful, I
expect the second to be successful as well.

Best wishes for the new year to you & everyone on this
board. Mary

Hi Mary, Thanks for your reply and well wishes. The cyst is possibly the cause of the pain. The pain is also the site of the blood clot I had in 97(popliteal)....
