Dear all,
I would like to mention a medicine which seems to help me: Parafon ( 250mg
Klorzoksazon, 300mg Parasetamol ) It is a myorelaxant basicly, and is not as
heavy as the other muscle relaxants or pain killers. It does not seem to have
side effects even with me; I could not use muscle relaxants or opiates at all.
It is been two months since my botox injection and I can sit as much as I like
now. It is still painful when I stand or walk a lot(an hour or more) and my left
side is still weak but improving. The doctors think after 6 months when the
effect of botox is gone the weakness would be gone totally. I think after botox
you have to rest like your piriformis is removed in a surgery minimum for three
months, not to create pain in other areas and to let the sciatica heal itself
without the pressure and friction due to priformis muscle tightnes or
enlargement.
Dear Mary I have seen something about restless foot syndrome resulting from
priformis syndrome in Dr. Pribut's pages he had recommended some simple
exercises to be done in bed: http://www.drpribut.com/sports/piriformis.html
