There are others out there also that talk about MRN and piriformis syndrome
diagnosis', but this one specifically addresses piriformis syndrome and
confirmation through followup treatments of injections and surgery, in some
cases. I'm surprised that you rememberme Mary. Since last spring I attacked the
problem from a spine/disc perspective since I was having no success otherwise.
The most extreme I got was an orthopedic surgeon performed a discogram and
laser-disc-decompression of the bottome two levels of the lumbar discs. This
gave me no relief and possible increased my sciatic inflammation. I am
currently seeing a PT who I am having focus on the piriformis and sacral area.
My right SI is and has been stuck for the duration of my condition (2.5yrs).
Also, my right hip is very tight, which I stretch multiple times daily to help
with. Basically most things on my right side are tight, whereas the sciatic
inflammation is in both legs/feet, with some radiating sciatic pain on the
right side when walking.

Hi Jamie. It is good to hear from you again. I was
wondering how you were doing. You ask so many
questions, I will break up my responses into a couple
of postings. (It takes me a while to do the typing &
hyperlinking.)
In the meantime, would you post the link to the
journal article you mentioned? It could be helpful to
other people. Thanks. Mary
