down the back of my legs to the knees and then it spreads all over
the place to my toes. I am worse with sitting and when my back
tightens up

2 & 4 I have had the problem for about 18 months it all start when I
was in physical therapy after a L4-S1 fusion . the pt was doing
hamstring stretches on me really hard and the next day my whole
lower back and gluts on both sides were frozen solid in muscle
spasm. I had piercing pain in both gluts and I was in bed for about
2 weeks. ever since then no matter haw much stretching etc there is
pain in my gluts and tingling etc down my legs. the tingling as I
mention before starts at my middle glut region

3. no I was a high school and college wrestler. I lifted a lot of
weights which is what caused my bad back in the first place. I was
doing squats with 400 lbs when I hurt my back. I was later
determined that I had congenital spinal stenosis the largest opening
in the L4 for central canal was 12 mm which is only 2 mm bigger than
absolute stenosis. To add to that I had a partially sacrolized L5
vertebra on the left side. in addition my L4 vertebra had 5 mm of
retrosthesis on the L5 vertebra. Basically my back SUCKS

JUST A COMMENT I THINK I SHOULD MENTION WITH NO DISRESPECT directed
toward anyone THIS IS JUST MY OPINION!

I can't believe how bad it is to deal with orthopaedic and
neurosurgeons. I just can't put it in to words. Everyone I HAVE GONE
TO has an ego problem . They could be absolutely, completely ,
totally wrong and they still won't amid it. And asking them a
technical question is all together another thing

despite the last comment i am looking for a surgeon to do a
piriformis tendon release on me. from what i understand sometimes
even if you stretch the heck out of the muscle. scare tissue has
formed around the sciatic notch and the piriformis muscle it self
making all the pt in the world a futile activity. the funny thing is
the dr who prescibled the neurogram for me is a neursurgeon trained
at a top five school and despite knowing about the condition he
doesn't perform the surgery and doesn't know anyone who does so
bascially what is the point of the test if nobody can read it,
except a few people. this really frustrated me. this doctor is
suppsted to know all about all the nerves in the human body and how
to to surgery on them and he does a test to check a suspected area,--
---but he doesn't do suegery in that area. it is 3 inch south of the
lumbar spine and he does surgery there.
