Re: [Piriformis syndrome] What to do?

Mary- Thank you again. I have been to an osteopath who is also a dentist and it
is amazing how quickly he relieved me of my pains. My left side was totally
tense although my priformis is relieved with the botox injection. My hip was
painful when I walked more than 15 minutes, my left shoulder was frozen and my
knee & ankle all hurt. He did manipulation plus neural therapy. I can sit long
hours now, and walk; still tender in the hip joints, but improving.

First I found this article on the net check it out.

Structural Misalignment: its Effect on Performance
Angela Caine AGSM LRAM, The Journal of the British Performing Arts Medicine
Trust, Issue 1, Summer 2000

There is a muscle in the jaw when injected procaine(neural therapy) it relieves
the piriformis muscle. The misalignment of the pelvis seems to be directly
related with the misalignment of our jaw. Actually it is the first and easiest
place to diagnose, piriformis is the later by product of this whole misalignment
of our body. I had a chiropractor before, but a dentist / osteopath specialized
in many types of alternative medicine was quite different. He took care of my
muscles and bones at the same time. Of course this time I will keep it up till
my pelvis is stabilized. Before as soon as I was free of pain I believed I was
okay; just to be disappointed to find out it is still there. I did not realise
it needs to be corrected again and again, obviously it has been out of place for
a long time to cause piriformis syndrome. Take Care Everyone Nilgun
