Halos, Pupil size and astigamtism   Message List

Hi everyone,

This is obviously still weighing on my mind. I'm seriously considering
rescheduling my iridotomies until I can talk to my Dr. in person again. A few
more questions, if you don't mind. Does anyone have any info on

(1) whether the halos are related to the size of your pupil?

(2) whether having an astigmatism like mine (somewhere around 2.4 D)increases
the likelihood of halos or other vision problems?

(3) whether there is any correlation between eye color and complications (I've
noticed a fair number of people have pointed out thet have dark eyes. I have
blue)

Thanks again for putting up with my neuroses!

I have blue eyes and an astigmatism (in both eyes) close to yours. No halos (I asked about pupil size and was told it was "fine" and "they don't expect halos...

I have pretty horrible halos that keep me from driving or doing anything at night. I have lost tolerance to Alphagan, so I have way to get my pupils down to a...

Hi, Have you tried using a diluted version of pilocarpine? You can get it made at a compound pharmacy. It has some side effects, and is not to be taken...

Yes, I have gotten a second opinion and the results are the same: it's a shame, but there are no safe options. I have inquired regarding getting the lens...

Have you tried both Alphagan and Alphagan P? They have a different preservative. Possibly you're alergic to the preserative and not the main ingredient....
