The visual abnormality isn't going to be much of a problem. I now
really only notice it when I think about it.
I also experienced night driving last night. No problems there, no
additional halos or glares or anything like that. When I open my eyes
really wide, I see a ghost image above any significantly bright light,
but a blink removes them. I can definitely see though, how seeing
those all the time could be annoying. Those of you unfortunate enough
to not be able to blink them away, you have my condolences. One of
the doctors I spoke with told me that the holes could be patched if
necessary. It might be something worth looking into if you have the
problem.
I'm half done with my steroid drops now. I still haven't felt any
pain, though my eyes still feel a little bit weird about the time I
need to put the drops in again. Once in, they go back to normal and
that nasty taste comes back.
First, I'll give you a little history on myself. I received my first pair of glasses when I was 7 years old. It wasn't more than a few years before I could...
Hi Josh, You said: “The doctor said I could elect to have the second eye done the following day. I'm not sure that's a good idea. The purpose of not doing...
Josh, my replies are in-line below. Forgive me if they're repeating things you already know -- it sounds like you really did your homework! ... Keep in mind...
Josh, First off, welcome to the group. This is also the first I've heard of a LASIK candidate who opted for ICL instead. I'm glad the publicity is spreading...
... My doctor had me wear a shield over the operative eye for the 24 hours following surgery (removed periodically for drops), so that's another reason why...
I apologize for not addressing some of the issues raised in the replies to my original message sooner. I've been quite busy lately. Michael Dwyer wrote: ...
Well, I had my iridotomy done yesterday, on both eyes. It was certainly a strange experience. My appointment was at 9 am. When I got there, I first had some...

... Heh. I remember that part well. I think the drops drain through your tear ducts into your nose and throat, where 'nasty' doesn't even being to describe...
As scheduled, I had my procedure done Friday. I'll be honest, I was quite nervous this week leading up to Friday. It took me forever to fall asleep the night...
... A year ago when I was doing initial research on ICLs, all the surgeons were saying they do both eyes seperately, spaced by 1 week. Now, as I'm about to...
... Mine did my eyes spaced by one day, and I think that was just perfect. If they're doing it in one day, that's probably even better. I imagine you've still...
... I think you were special because you were among the very first to have it done in Colorado, and it being your doctors' first USA ICL (aside from his...
I had my surgery done about a year ago now, shortly after Thanksgiving, and was made to wait one week after the YAG for the first eye, then two weeks between...
... ### Good luck, Josh. I had both of my YAG procedures done on the same day. Ask your doctor about using artificial tears following your YAG. If they agree,...
I should clarify I had my YAG done on the same day. I think that's standard. Nancy, you describe my almost exact same reaction to the YAG. Also stock up on...

I went and bought an eye patch yesterday. It helps when I'm not wearing my contact, but I very much dislike the loss of depth perception. We have a Halloween...
Yeah, I should have specified I have no depth perception to begin with (monovision after wearing an eye patch as a child, due to "lazy eye" (I can't think of...
