Hi Shelley:
I gotta echo Jennifer's post almost exactly. I have the same wavy lines, they
are the worst when I'm in a darkish room (like our front room, which is tree
shaded) looking across the room out a sunny window. I had the iridotomy in
November. They haven't diminished one bit. I have not gotten used to them. I
can't wear sunglasses bc I still wear glasses (due to unfixable astigmatism).
BUT that being said. The lines don't really bother me. I know what they are. I
only "see" them now and again in the aforementioned circumstances. They don't
bother me night driving, as they did at first (they appeared with the oncoming
headlights). They don't bother me in a dimly light restaurant when looking at
lights, as they did at first.
I honestly don't think my brain adjusted to them (as they say will happen) so
much as I've learned just to discount them as they don't overly interfere with
much and I now know this.
Sometimes they also appear as a lot of tiny, sunny pinprick holes at the bottom
of my vision.
The YAG was also worse than the surgery for me. Actually, recovery time for the
surgery s*cked for me bc I had to wear an eye patch for 1.5 months...part of the
astigmatism problem. BUT the results are so freakin' fantastic. I can never go
back. Please don't let the IOLs ever have to be removed. The worst part is
honestly behind you. No going back now!!
Let us know how it goes.

I had the yag iridotomy in both eyes 5 days ago. I currently see clear
lines that move up and down as I look toward light and blink. I was
wondering if others have experienced this disturbance. Can I expect
this to diminish or am I likely to adjust to it? Thanks in advance for
your help.
